Styling Tips

1). Party streamers are very inexpensive and are a great addition to almost any party decor. For this look, twist the streamers to create a wave effect. I used masking tape to attach each strand to the wall alternating between green and blue. Add a few paper fish and bubbles and voila, an easy backdrop.

2). You can never have enough balloons! This classic birthday staple is so versatile and is great for filling in large areas. To create large balloon clusters, use fishing line and a needle to thread the tails of the balloons together. This will prevent the individual balloons from constantly rolling away. You can hang the garland in a doorway, cascading down a wall, or simply place on the floor to fill in spaces.

3). DIY paper fish. Before the party, I used my Cricut to cut out about 50 paper fish to use in the décor. If you don’t have a Cricut, don’t worry! Simply find a fish you like online, print the image, and use as a template to trace and cut out the fish. The paper fish look great attached to twine to make a garland, swimming through the streamers, or as a little cake topper.
