Message in a Bottle

I love the romance of a message in a bottle floating away at sea. This ocean inspired wedding submitted by Myesha from Style House Event Rental, captures the mystery and passion of the sea perfectly. With bright pops of color reflecting the depth of coral wreaths to subtle mermaid details that make this wedding a wonder.

It’s time to set sail and fall in love with the ocean’s beauty.

Myesha shared these details about the wedding:

“Message in the bottle is a unique wedding inspired by two people in love with the sea. Our Bride Whitney, born Boston native is a fun, outgoing, fashionista who loves sailing with friends and family around the Cape. Trent whose father was a Navy seaman has a strong passion for fishing and Ocean life. With these two ocean lovers, it was only right to do an under the sea theme wedding! This intimate ceremony for close friends and family has held at Chale Gardens a beautiful lakefront venue located in Southwest Georgia. To compliment the couple’s fun personalities and the fresh colors of spring, we chose a bold color palette of turquoise, fuchsia, and silver with accents of burnt orange, yellow and purple.

Ceremony details included silver Chivari chairs draped in sheer and satin curly willow sashes. Aisle markers consisted of White Sea lanterns, floral blooms, seashells, stones and a beautiful last initial monogram, outlined in coral rose petals. Just A simple touch to make a bold statement! For the alter the venue provided a beautiful sheer ceiling drape and tulle backdrop, for an added touch we hung colorful floral balls and various length sea crystals. At the reception, for a little texture, we used turquoise and blush crinkle linen similar to waves of the ocean.

Each guest table was topped with authentic fishnets, seashells, and underwater creatures. Our favorite custom design detail is the burnt orange sea coral table number holders and our sunbathing mermaids. Both household items found at local home decor stores, repurposed for our lovely seascape!

Another one of our favorite design elements were the fuchsia Coral reef place mats, formerly white lace dollies. These placemats were the perfect little addition to complete our guest place settings. Placed onto each guests charger, were an adorable message in the bottle favor designed by Danyelle of Take A Bow Events. These small bottles of gratitude are the perfect take home keepsake for any occasion.

Each guest table was uniquely designed fitting the sea theme. Centerpieces were lovely pillar vases filled with blush hydrangeas, accented with bright pink roses and other bright blossoms. Our stunning sweetheart table was draped in gorgeous petal textured floor length linen. Cascading across the table was a vibrant, bed of fresh spring flowers in a custom designed floral runner. The runner was accented with turquoise and silver Mercury glass candle votives, paired with large vases dazzled in starfish and pearl jewels. The atmosphere of this wedding was designed to make the couple feel at ease like sailing upon the ocean and symbolize the bold and fun love they have for each other. While navigating through the process of planning, this couple reminded me of an old Smokey Robinson record” Where gonna fly away, glad you’re going my way, I love it when were cruising together :)”
